There was a loop hole in D Windows XP.which was discovered by the microsoft personnals..U can Break Administrator Password by the following method:

1. Place your Windows XP CD(Bootable) in your cd-rom and start your computer
2. Keep your eye on the screen messages for booting to your cd Typically, it will
be “Press any key to boot from cd”

3. Once you get in, the first screen will indicate that Setup is inspecting your system and loading files.

4. When you get to the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to Setup Windows now

5. The Licensing Agreement comes next - Press F8 to accept it.

6. The next screen is the Setup screen which gives you the option to do a Repair.

It should read something like “If one of the following Windows XP
installations is damaged, Setup can try to repair it”

Use the up and down arrow keys to select your XP instruction
7. Let the Repair run. Setup will now check your disks and then start copying files which
can take several minutes.

8. Shortly after the Copying Files stage, you will be required to reboot.
(this will happen automatically – you will see a progress bar stating “Your computer will reboot in 15 seconds”

9. During the reboot, do not make the mistake of “pressing any key” to boot from
the CD again! Setup will resume automatically with the standard billboard screens and you will
notice Installing Windows is highlighted.

10. Keep your eye on the lower left hand side of the screen and when you see the Installing Devices
progress bar, press SHIFT + F10. This is the security hole! A command console will now open up giving
you the potential for wide access to your system.

11. At the prompt, type NUSRMGR.CPL and press Enter. NOw You have just gained graphical access to your
User Accounts in the Control Panel.

12. Now simply pick the account you need to change and remove or change your password as you prefer. If you want to log
on without having to enter your new password, you can type control userpasswords2 at the prompt and choose to log on.

1.Open Run and then type "gpedit.msc" with quotes.
2.Now you can see a window with a name Group Policy.
3.Goto User Configuration in left pan Administrative templates then click Windows Component.
4.Now click Windows Explorer in right pan.
5.Now you can see the 3rd option "Removes the Folder Option menu item from the Tools menu" double click it.
6.A new window will open there if it is not configured then change it to enable by double clicking on it and after applying again set it to not configured.

I hopes that you will find the option after restarting windows.

Here its a useful trick to preview Word file without opening it..

1.First click on Start button, go to Program then click on Microsoft Word to run the word application.
2.Now go to File menu and click on Open option to open any word file. Here a small dialog will appear
with title "Open".
3.This will open the preview pane. Click on any file on the left hand side and preview what inside the file.
4.When you find the file you need just click Open button to open the file.

If you want to hide a shared folder from the network users, right click the folder and click sharing and security and give a shared name of a folder plus $ sign e.g. ebooks$. In this way network users will not be able to see the shared folder on the network. For you to see the hidden shared folder, map the drive and type in the path including the $ sign in the folder box.

If your system has failed to the point where you cannot access the Windows GUI either through booting normally or through safe mode, you may still have the chance to use the System Restore feature if you have it enabled, by running it form the command prompt. To do this:

Restart your computer and press F8 after the POST screen to bring up the Windows XP boot menu. Choose 'boot in safe mode with command prompt.'

If your system gets to the command prompt successfully, type '%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe' and then press enter. Follow the onscreen instructions to restore your computer to a previous saved point.

6. Now when you log off, restart or shutdown, your computer will automatically open the previously opened folders from the same location as before.

If you want to write your diary on your computer with Time & Date so you can do it without using any software in notepad.

1. Open Notepad

2. Type “.LOG”

3. Save it

4. Now every time you open this file notepad will automatically insert date and time to the last line of the file. You can type anything after that line and save it. In this way you can use it as a diary.

1. Click on Start button and type “Regedit” in Run option.

4. If MessageExpiryDays key doesn’t exist, then in right side panel, click right to create a key with the nameMessageExpiryDays and then set its value to 0.

Windows 2000 and XP CDs

If you have Windows 2000 and XP you need to know how to reinstall windows properly as well. Insert your Windows CD and boot your computer. Upon startup you will see Press any key to boot from CD.

After clicking you will come to the welcome screen. Press Enter, then press Escape to start a restore. From the menu options select C as your current partition and then l to delete the Windows folder. Enter temp as your user name when prompted. Reboot and you will be logged in as temp.

Next you will restore your personal files. Windows 2000 users should login as temp, then Administrator and then back to temp again. Then go to C:\Documents and Settings and you will see an Administrator folder and one with Administrator: computername.

From DOS type cd \documents and settings and then press Enter. Type xcopy administrator\*.* administrator.computername /s /h /r /c, substituting for computername your folder that was appended to Administrator earlier. Your personal files will be restored.


4. For Both Windows XP and 2000

Windows XP and 2000 users need one extra step to know how to reinstall windows correctly. Create a new folder on your C: drive and label it oldData. Then go to My Documents and Settings and copy all of the folders for each username to oldData.

In Control Panel go to User Accounts and create a new account for each of these users—use their names as spelled out under their Documents and Settings folders. If you’re using XP ensure that at least one account has Administrator privileges.

For each user on your computer, log off and log in with that user’s name. Then login as Temp and drop down into the DOS command prompt interpreter. Now type

xcopy c:\oldData\*.* "c:\documents and settings" /s /h /r /c

Then press Enter. Go ahead and confirm that you wish to overwrite files. When you’re done, log off and then login as each user. Each user’s Documents and
Settings should be restored.
